Our Rooms
At Sunflowers Nursery, we believe that every child deserves a nurturing environment tailored to their individual needs and stages of development. That’s why our nursery is thoughtfully divided into dedicated rooms, each designed to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
From the very first day, your child will be welcomed into a warm, stimulating space where they can feel safe, supported, and free to explore at their own pace. With age-appropriate resources, caring educators, and a focus on both emotional and educational growth, our rooms provide the perfect setting for every step of your little one’s early journey. Whether they’re discovering the world for the first time or preparing for their next big milestone, our spaces are built to help every child thrive.
Seedlings Baby Room (0 - 2 years)
Our baby room prides itself in promoting sensory play using natural resources and wide variety of self-selection. We understand that your baby’s first year, sets the foundations for their development and we are committed to ensuring that all areas of their learning and development is supported through child-led play and interaction. The baby room also has its own nappy changing area and a separate sleep room with cots, mattresses and individual baskets to keep their own bedding and any comfort items. The Seedlings have their own garden area with age appropriate equipment and have access to freshly cooked meals, prepared on site.
Sprouts Toddler Room (2 - 3 years)
Our toddler room ensures a spacious area, ready for your child to learn and explore. With their own dining area, our sprouts can experience dining with real china and cutlery to fully start to learn about the world around them. Our ‘real life’ and natural play resources promotes curiosity within their play whilst extending their knowledge about the world around them. The sprouts have their own bathroom area which is especially useful during their toilet training journey. The children have open access to an outdoor area with activities to promote all areas of their learning.
Flowers Pre-School Room (3 - 5 years)
Our Flowers room is arranged in a way in which we can prepare your children to a mixture of routine and self-selected play, as a way of supporting them in getting ready for school. The children have access to creative stations, sand and water area, a tower area with construction resources and plenty of open ended play opportunities. Once again, the Flowers have their own bathroom to enhance their independence skills. The garden area for the Flowers is one of the highlights of our nursery, with self-selection, gardening area, climbing frames and a mini bike ramp.
